Last week MICROMINE attended the famous Diggers and Dealers mining forum in the gold mining capital of Australia, Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The annual event sees the Australian mining industry head to the Goldfields region for a 4-day conference focusing on the latest projects and innovations across the industry.
The event included a series of company presentations from mining and exploration companies across all commodities where they provide an update on current projects and future strategies. A large event marquee houses exhibitor from across the sector showcasing the latest in mining innovation.
Diggers and Dealers is a big event on the calendar each year for MICROMINE. This year’s event provided us with a great opportunity to showcase the latest versions of our mining software solutions including Geobank 2018, Micromine 2018 and Pitram 4.10. MICROMINE technical specialists provided live product demonstrations for attendees at the event, allowing them a unique look at some of the new features and enhancements of the solutions.
“Our latest software solutions offer exceptional functionality and usability and can be applied across the entire mining cycle from exploration through to mine design and fleet management. It was great to catch-up with new and existing clients at Diggers to get an understanding of their future plans and discuss how MICROMINE’s solutions can assist their operations” MICROMINE Australia Commercial Manager Jens Lodders commented.
With the Australian mining industry experiencing a period of growth, there was a lot of positivity and enthusiasm from attendees at Diggers with a lot of discussion around upcoming projects.
“There was a real buzz at Diggers this year off the back of some strong results for Australia’s junior and mid-tier miners. There is a lot of new projects and plenty of investment in existing project, which is really exciting” added Mr. Lodders
The event also included a busy networking schedule including the annual cocktail party, the Traditional Bash and the Wednesday Gala Dinner. These events provided a great opportunity to spend some time with our clients in a relaxed atmosphere.
